Product & Nutritional Questions

Is Eden’s patented?

We’ve filed multiple patent applications for Eden’s formula and design. Eden’s is a one-of-a-kind product, with 3+ years of rigorous research behind it.

Do you use organic ingredients?

Do you use non-GMO ingredients?

Yes! All of Eden’s ingredients are non-GMO.

Is Eden’s gluten-free?

Eden’s contains trace amounts of gluten from Barley Balance® barley beta glucan, the barley beta glucan contains <40 ppm of gluten. SWEOAT® oat beta glucan is not certified gluten-free due to it potentially being processed in a facility with gluten-containing ingredients.

Are there any allergens in Eden’s?

Eden’s contains Barley Beta Glucan which contains trace amounts of gluten. Oat fiber is also not certified as gluten-free.

One serving of Eden’s contains 30 calories.

Will Eden’s interact with any other drugs or other supplements I'm taking? Can it reduce or increase the effectiveness of any medicines?

If you’re on any medication, or already take other supplements, we’d encourage you to consult with your physician before taking Eden’s.

Will Eden’s cause excess bleeding, and if so, should I stop taking it before surgery?

Eden’s should not cause bleeding of any kind. If you have a medical condition that puts you at a higher risk for bleeding—or if you’re concerned about bleeding for any reason—please consult with your physician before taking Eden’s.

Can I take Eden’s while I'm pregnant or nursing?

If you’re pregnant or nursing, please consult with your physician before taking Eden’s.

Is Eden’s safe for my child to take?

Although most Eden’s consumers are adults, Eden’s is safe for children to take, as well!

Dietary fiber and probiotics are associated with important health benefits for children, especially with respect to promoting normal laxation. Moreover, dietary fiber may also help reduce the future risk of cardiovascular disease, some cancers, and adult onset diabetes. The Cleveland Clinic guide recommends the following fiber consumption levels:

  • Children 1 to 3 years: 19 grams of fiber/day.
  • Children 4 to 8 years: 25 grams of fiber/day.
  • Boys 9 to 13 years: 31 grams of fiber/day.
  • Girls 9 to 13 years: 26 grams of fiber/day.
  • Boys 14 to 19 years: 38 grams of fiber/day.
  • Girls 14 to 19 years: 26 grams of fiber/day.

While we have yet to test the benefits of Eden’s in children, the prebiotics, probiotics, and polyphenols present in Eden’s are all-natural, non-GMO, and completely safe for them. We suggest asking your pediatrician for any specific questions you may have regarding the use of Eden’s for your child.

Can I take Eden’s if I have diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, or another medical condition?

We designed Eden’s specifically to support total metabolic health, and we expect it to benefit users with diabetes in several ways. Experiments performed in our own research laboratory found that Eden’s promotes hormones which regulate blood glucose and thus help to maintain healthy blood sugar. In addition, our preliminary human study indicated that Eden’s can help to lower bad cholesterol and increase good cholesterol (HDL).

What should I do if I become constipated while taking Eden’s?

If you experience constipation, reduce the amount of Eden’s to a half or quarter scoop each day, and slowly increase the quantity as your body acclimates.

While constipation can be distressing, it’s important to note that GI issues are often a sign that your body is getting used to eating the proper amount of fiber. In other words––if you’re constipated, it means that Eden’s is working!

What side effects might Eden’s have?

Those who are fiber deficient may feel bloated or gassy for the first week or so of taking Eden’s, as their body is not accustomed to digesting the proper amount of fiber. The good news is, discomfort may be a sign it’s actually working!

If you experience these symptoms, consider limiting your intake to half a scoop daily for about a week to let your body adjust, then increase to the full scoop. You’ll likely find you better digest all types of fiber-rich foods with continued use of Eden’s.

What should I do if I'm experiencing side effects?

If you experience side effects for more than a week, consider limiting your intake to half a scoop daily for about a week to let your body adjust––then, increase to the full scoop. You’ll likely find you better digest all types of fiber-rich foods with continued use.

Some GI discomfort can occur in people who haven’t previously taken a fiber supplement, or who are fiber deficient. Symptoms may include bloating, constipation, and diarrhea. The good news is, discomfort may be a sign that your body is getting used to digesting the proper amount of fiber! If you continue to experience negative side effects, please discontinue use and consult with your physician.

If I do have a side effect from Eden’s, where can I report it?

You can reach out to our customer care team if you have questions or experience any side effects. Please contact us at edens@january.ai.

Are there any studies to show that this supplement works and that it's safe?

We developed Eden’s with pharmaceutical rigor, testing hundreds of ingredients in our own research and development lab. If you’d like information on our white paper to learn more about the scientific support behind Eden’s, please email edens@january.ai.

Can I take Eden's if I have Crohn's disease?

While prebiotics have potential benefits for digestive health, their use in Crohn's disease can be individualized. Some studies have suggested that certain prebiotics might exacerbate symptoms. However, individual responses to prebiotics can vary, and some people with Crohn's disease may tolerate them well. If you are considering taking a prebiotic supplement for Crohn's disease, it's important to consult your healthcare provider. They can evaluate your specific condition, medical history, and symptoms to determine whether a prebiotic supplement like Eden's is suitable for you.

Benefits & usage questions

When should I expect to see or feel benefits from Eden’s?

Our study found an increased growth of healthy gut microbes, like Bifidobacteria, within 28 days of Eden’s use. This type of gut microbe proliferation will lead to better health as you continue to nurture your microbiome over consecutive months—including enhanced glucose control, immunity, and lower inflammation. That’s why we encourage you to sign up for our monthly Eden’s subscription: you’ll get better health benefits, and save money, too!

Please note that, while some benefits might come right away (like feeling fuller throughout the day), other benefits (including bowel movement regularity, better sleep, and increased energy) may take up to 30 days to see or feel a noticeable effect. Of course, these benefits will only increase with continued use of Eden’s.

Can I add Eden’s to any food or beverage, and are there recipes I can follow?

Eden's has a light mango flavor. Some of our users like to mix Eden's with their daily smoothie or protein shake. We also have users who like to mix it with their favorite cold tea or juice. Of course, you can always mix Eden’s with water!

We recommend mixing Eden’s with cold beverages, since the formula contains live probiotics that can be affected by hot temperatures. Eden’s also contains some fibers, such as Locust Bean Gum, that can get lumpy when mixed with hot beverages.

We’re also working on compiling some recipes that use Eden's. Stay tuned––and, if you have ideas for recipes, let us know!

Do I need to take Eden’s every day?

We encourage you to take Eden’s every day––because improving the health of your gut microbiome requires sustained and continuous changes to your diet.

Do your best to take Eden’s every day, but don’t stress if you miss the occasional day. Just know that consistent daily use will ensure you get the maximum benefits from Eden’s, faster.

When is the best time of day to take Eden’s?

Though you’ll see excellent benefits from taking Eden’s any time of the day, we recommend taking it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning (about 20 minutes before your first meal). Mix it well into a cold beverage, then drink immediately.

Can I take Eden’s on an empty stomach?

Yes! In fact, taking Eden’s on an empty stomach is the most effective way to take Eden’s. We recommend taking it first thing in the morning, mixed into a cold beverage and about 20 minutes before your first meal.

Does Eden’s need to be refrigerated?

No, Eden’s doesn’t need to be refrigerated. Just store it in a cool, dry location––like your kitchen cabinet!

Why does Eden’s contain prebiotics, probiotics, and polyphenols?

Each of our 14 ingredients were carefully selected from over 28,000 possibilities to play a specific role in nourishing the gut microbiome. Probiotics introduce new microbes to your gut; prebiotics feed those microbes; and polyphenols interact with specific molecules to produce a number of health benefits, including protection from oxidative stress.

While other products base their ingredients on outside research conducted that investigates only constituent ingredients (as opposed to a product holistically), our team spent three years testing ingredients internally through a proprietary experimentation process. This helped us combine precise amounts of the best ingredients to optimize their synergistic qualities for metabolic health.

Will Eden’s break my fast?

Yes, Eden’s will break your fast. Because Eden’s includes finely ground up fruits, we recommend holding off consuming Eden’s while you are fasting.

What is a synbiotic supplement?

A synbiotic is defined as a mixture of probiotics and prebiotics that beneficially affects the host by improving the survival and activity of beneficial microorganisms in the gut. True synbiotics are precise. They must contain the proper amounts and varieties of prebiotics and probiotics to be effective.

Is Eden’s a synbiotic supplement?

Eden’s is a true synbiotic! True synbiotics are precise, and contain the proper amounts and varieties of prebiotics and probiotics to be effective. Unlike other products claiming to be synbiotics, Eden’s contains 5 different types of fiber (amounting to 8 grams), in combination with our proprietary probiotic blend.

What is the gut microbiome?

The microbiome is the community of microorganisms (such as fungi, bacteria and viruses) that exists in a particular environment. In humans, the term is often used to describe the microorganisms that live in or on a particular part of the body––such as “gut microbiome” for the organisms that live in the gastrointestinal tract.

Is fiber and prebiotic the same thing?

Yes! All prebiotics are classified as dietary fibers.
